Welcome Home to Kingwood!

Located on the east fork of the San Jacinto River, Kingwood is a community in Texas that is part of the Greater Houston area. It is a suburban but heavily forested area, meaning that it appeals to all kinds of interests for people looking at homes for sale in Kingwood.

With Kingwood being so small, students in the community are part of the Humble Independent School District. This means residents are served by nine different elementary schools, three junior high schools, and five high schools. There are also five private schools and a Catholic school within the area. Kingwood is part of the Lone Star College System and has the Lone Star College-Kingwood serving the area, which is a two-year community college.

If there is one thing Kingwood is known for, it is having a lot to do. The residents enjoy a number of annual events. These include a February Mardi Gras parade and celebration, the Picnic in the Park Easter egg hunt, a Fourth of July parade and fireworks display, a Christmas in the Park celebration complete with live music and a tree lighting, and Auto Shows held in the spring and fall. Part of why Kingwood can hold all those great events is because it is rich with parks. It has over 500 acres of nature preserves and parks, including miles of hiking trails, a dog park, and the Kingwood Skate Park. Kingwood is worth a look for your future home.
